We are an Italian dance company, born and raised in Friuli Venezia Giulia, with a hip hop vision and culture in which technique and philosophy have their roots in the breakdance from which the artistic director, Giovanni Gava Leonarduzzi, arrives.

"BELLANDA" comes from "BIELE ANDE", a "slang" of the Friulian language, as a symbol of belonging to traditions and cultures of the territory birth.

Bellanda was born from the union of forces, visions and intentions of the two founders, Giovanni and Claudia, and presents his creations in theater seasons and festivals not only in Italy, but also in Europe and overseas.

Compagnia Bellanda is, basically, the result of a lot of obstinacy and perseverance.

Graduated in computer science from the Faculty of Physical and Natural Mathematical Sciences of Udine, he cultivates and grows his two activities in parallel: since 2005 he has been a Software Developer and since 2009 he has been a producer of electronic music for theatrical performances and urban events. For example, he is the author of the soundtracks of world-class streetdance events such as the "International Battle Of The Year", he is a sound designer of Compagnia Bellanda, of which he follows the creation and realization of the sound path of various dance shows such as "Aganis", "Fumo d'Acacia", "Sympósion", "Arido".

Since 2012 he has signed shows of his own creation that debut and participate in national and international showcases and circuits. He danced for Enzo Celli, Michela Lucenti, Abbondanza/Bertoni. He receives recognition from the beginning and is selected in "Vetrina della giovane danza d'autore Anticorpi XL", participates in Cadiz en Danza, Tu Danzas, Quinzena de Danza de Almada, Lucky Trimmer, Festival Essenziale and DanzaTTack and wins several prizes in the international competitions FIDCDMX (Mexico City), MasDanza, International Choreographic Competition Hannover, Mesh Jerusalem, CICUBNY Burgos, DanzaXtrema.

Organizational director, dancer, choreographer

Dancer and emerging choreographer, she trains in ballet, modern and contemporary dance with internationally renowned teachers such as Giulio Cantello, Don Marasigan, Tamas Moricz and with Matthew Bourne's New Adventures. She graduated in fashion design. She supports Leonarduzzi in the development and growth of Compagnia Bellanda and debut at the "Vetrina della giovane danza d'autore Anticorpi XL"  2020, wins the 3rd place in CICBUNY; the audience award and 1st jury prize in the 36th International Choreography Competition Hannover. In 2023 she is a choreographer for the German company MIR Dance Company.

Artistic consultant

Graduated in Socio-Cultural Psychology and Educational Sciences, he is a pioneer of Hip Hop Pedagogy in Italy, also bringing it to schools. In art "DJ Tubet", is Rapper, producer and musical pedagogue, active since 1998. Innovative in combining hip hop with genres such as dub, reggae, world music and funky-jazz, he is known for his unique style of rap and freestyle in Friulan, with which he reached 15 syllables per second, becoming the fastest rapper in Italy in 2021. In 2010, with R.esistence in Dub, he received the audience award at Liet International, a European festival dedicated to songs in minority languages.

Mauro Tubetti
