On the quiet summer nights of the Karst, a sound pierces the darkness: “keu... keu...”.
A faint call, a voice that persists like an omen of change. A visceral duet traces the fine line between desire and imposition, tenderness and control. Every gesture is a ritual.
The language is melancholic and insistent, like the call of the scops owl, where silence weighs as much as words. Breaths, footsteps, and friction are amplified; movement creates sound, and sound reshapes movement in a continuous cycle.
The heartbeat is audible; the fatigue is visible. When a decision breaks the balance, who yields? There are no verdicts, only deep empathy. And as the omen returns, a question hangs in the air: did we just play?

CARNE is a dance-theatre production that explores the fragility of the contemporary human condition, examining urgent and sensitive issues such as suicide, self-harm and the dynamics of social isolation. The work takes its starting point from the most extreme act, not as a narrative conclusion, but as the source of a question: what leads a person to perceive an end as more bearable than continuing on?Starting from this tension, the exploration moves backwards, examining the internal and collective pressures that contribute to a loss of meaning, with a particular focus on the younger generations and the dynamics of the male context, still marked by rigid cultural codes and emotional difficulties. The need to belong, the fear of exclusion and the drive towards conformity emerge, permeate the bodies and shape their behaviour.

Sisters by blood or by spirit, it matters little; it is a deep bond that allows women to live and grow, despite the risks, despite the hardships, despite everything, becoming ever stronger and more independent.
An intense and complex atmosphere, where relationships between women, family ties and repressive forces intertwine against a backdrop of inner turmoil. Two sisters become symbols of an existential struggle, each with her own way of coming to terms with her uniqueness. The visual representation of these feelings, blended with the music, creates an atmosphere that is both oppressive and captivating. It emphasises emotions and individualism within a visceral dual relationship. A romantic vision that re-evaluates and celebrates dreams, feelings and passion, in contrast to logical and purely rational thought.

The duet draws on the truths of the body at the expense of eloquence, in an atmosphere hovering between wakefulness and hallucination, allowing doubt to creep across their boundary. The characters are deprived of words but endowed with a raw, almost aphasic aggression, whose silent rebellion radiates from the body, and the truth of the role necessarily springs from within. Two bodies receptive to passions and an obsession with love, or rather, the determination of one of the two characters to make the other understand the profound nature of love and to convince them to surrender unconditionally. Every gesture is a ritual, a dance of love and control.
The moral of the story? In love, there is no wisdom.

From Plato’s account to the present day, there has been a constant striving towards the search for a whole, unified, complete body. From the ‘hermaphrodites’ described in Aristophanes’ speech—supernatural figures in both nature and form—to the divided body we possess. The attempt at reunification, the striving towards wholeness, the relationship that is never quite ‘fulfilled’ because it is now impossible to return to being a ‘single body’. A perennial desire for reunification, a desire that animates and moves bodies. Two bodies, when combined, create a greater one. From Plato’s specific narrative to an analysis of contemporary society and the dynamics of the relationships within it: the difficulty of finding, maintaining and nurturing a couple’s relationship in a society that pushes towards ever-stronger individualism and leads to a lesser acceptance of the couple’s “compromise”. From this arise our moving figures, where indeed the two bodies, combined, create a larger one. This is the end, the end of a story about LOVE
Look, how many beautiful love stories do we have here right now!
How many of us have a partner? Who is alone?
Who has ever cheated? Who is faithful?
Who has ever desired other people's women or men?
Is hard, isn’t it?
Yeah we all know that love requires sacrifice
How much and how log are we willing to endure for love?
How much do we change for our partner?
and how much do we try to change our partner in the name of “love”?
How they say? in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health…
Are we the same person since the ORIGIN?
Since the beginning of your first love story?
Stories stories stories!

In the depths of a thick fog, three women dance to a silent rhythm. Their veiled faces hint at untold stories, whilst shadows play with the light, enveloping the scene in a mysterious embrace. Every step is an invitation to explore the unknown, whilst their gaze is lost in infinity. The human hare stands out against this dreamlike backdrop. Her eyes shine like beacons of wisdom, revealing a depth that seems to transcend time and space. Her presence brings a fascinating paradox, blending the masculine and the feminine, the known and the unknown. When she finally decides to unravel her mystery, the revelation spreads like an echo through the air. The hare is not merely a strange figure in this ethereal world, but a symbol of rebirth and transformation. Its feminine essence, concealed beneath layers of appearance, represents the power of life and hope. The mist lifts, revealing a landscape that is dreamlike, but also brimming with potential and new beginnings—a place where mystery and truth coexist in an eternal dance.

Festive folk dances intertwine with a movement rooted in breakdance - a dance born, created and lived out amongst young people. The protagonists of this story are also youths, energetic souls caught in a constant balance between celebration and mourning. Between euphoria and decay. The joy of a celebration or the gloom of a funeral? For these are two moments that unite the whole country with the same intensity: a sense of belonging and the need to share characterise both these moments, for better or for worse. And so, in a region which, for better or worse, has been a battleground over the last century, our thoughts turn to the young people of that time, caught in the prime of their splendour and restlessness, forced to shift from the lightness of their innocence to the weight of the reality around them.

Aganis: figures depicted in a manner that is as mythological and ethereal as it is physical. A play of light and shadow that reflects the duality and ambivalence of these legendary figures: in the Friulian language, the “Agane” are mythological water nymphs associated with the aquatic environments of Friuli. It is said that these female-like spirits of the waterways could be glimpsed when the moon rose in the sky. They would gather, dancing, wrapped in white robes, which they would then leave to dry in the moonlight. Like the flow of water, in some circumstances they would be most gentle, in others extremely turbulent, at times seductive maidens, at times old harpies. The project explores, narrates and celebrates Friulian mythology and culture, using the language of contemporary dance to bring to life a rich yet still little-known tradition.

Sono solo tuo padre / I am only your father
Through my body I tell the story that happens every day / It's a story of a silent violence where guilty feelings nourish and feed, cultivate and breed / Where filthyness and shames are thrown upon you / I guess only dogs like vomit / I tell about the violence which tastes as lies / About the wickedness which can change your shape / Because it's convenient to see me like this / I dance the violence of turning my fears into reality / making them solid and abandoning myself right here so that I can damn myself / A praise to the misery and poverty of my art, of my visions / where there was wonder before / Violence is to discredit and belittle violence / Because what they love speaks about me too / Because the way they tell it is the way I would tell it / Because in order to be hated you just need the will and desire of being somebody else / BUT I'M JUST YOUR FATHER / and that's why I'd love to be seen through my mistakes / and through everything I've never done. / But if there's something that I know is that I love you / Hence, in this filthiness, I smile because I miss you.
